The Fokker 100 is a regional jet airliner developed by the Dutch company Fokker in the late 1980s. The aircraft is based on the Fokker F28 and has increased dimensions, allowing it to accommodate up to 122 passengers.
At the beginning of the program, the aircraft was considered very promising and even enjoyed high demand from airlines around the world. However, just a few years later, problems began to arise. The global financial crises of the early 1990s, as well as the company's own dire straits, led to the program's collapse: production of the Fokker 100 and Fokker 70 ceased just a decade after its launch. These aircraft were efficient, technologically advanced, and comfortable, but they failed to withstand the vicissitudes of life. They still fly, enjoying the respect and love of all industry players, but, alas, they are becoming a thing of the past along with their creator.
