V-280 Valor - Black Hawk from the Future
The Bell V-280 Valor is a tiltrotor helicopter developed by Bell Helicopter for the US Air Force as a future replacement for the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter.
The V-280 has a similar capacity and cabin layout to the UH-60, but boasts significantly higher speeds and ranges: a cruising speed of 520 km/h (280 knots) and a range of 930-1,480 km (500-800 miles).
The V-280 competed in a US Air Force tender against the high-speed Sikorsky-Boeing SB-1 Defiant helicopter, which won.
