Ailong Ke, professor of molecular biology and genetics in the College of Arts & Sciences at Cornell University, explains what CRISPR gene editing is – he calls it “molecular scissors” – and how he using CRISPR to find cures for viruses like HIV/AIDS and diseases like cancer.
Prof. Ke’s presentation was part of the College of Arts & Sciences’ “Arts Unplugged: Science of the Very, Very Small” event that explored some of the exciting innovations in nanoscale science and their ramifications for human society.
