Semi-Auto Mob Head Farm - Director’s Cut (Re-Release)
Mob head farm built in 1.16.2 - after building a little record farm, this seemed like the next logical step.
The original video was 51 minutes long & had large sections completely uncut – I had fun recording it, but it was difficult to sit through (originally published in January 2021 and later made private, was watched by maybe 2.5 people).
1st try (1 lighting strike): 61 mob heads
2nd try (this - all kindsa failed): 18 mob heads
3rd try (ending footage): 93 mob heads - there were a number of regular creepers that got picked up; the 2nd lightning strike will kill charged creepers, so I have to actually aim for the center of the group & lock them off.
I had some issues when I left a bunch of mobs in the chutes (500+ mspt spikes) - don't know the details, but I upped the allocated RAM from 2GB to 4GB and it now works fine.
