As a music producer it’s important to be aware that nearly every instrument (acoustic and synthetic) has been multi sampled. The degree of realism some of these sample libraries are able to attain is truly remarkable. And while I wouldn't encourage you to break the bank on a bunch of expensive libraries just for the sake of it. What I would say is if there is a particular sound that you really need there's a good a chance it has been sampled already.
In this video we’ll focus on the technical side of things by digging into the guts of Kontakt to see how all of the individual samples are stored and sorted. While you’ll never probably create your own 10 GB multi sampled piano it’s useful to see how it’s done just in case.
