There have been increasing calls to better center equity within
autism research to address long-standing disparities that exist
along sociodemographic and racial lines. Further, autistic
individuals often have multiple minoritizing identities that can
affect their access to services, life experiences, and outcomes.
This presentation will describe autism research and findings that
demonstrate existing disparities as well as research that centers
equity. This research will be used to discuss a path forward for
research and practice.
