Max Kaplan was born in New Jersey, in 1997. His parents owned a restaurant that featured live blues music. Max and his family lived in an apartment right above the restaurant. On a regular basis, Max watched performances from blues greats, in the restaurant. Nowadays, he's based in Memphis. His band is Max Kaplan and The Magics. They've played many festivals, including the Winter Blues Festival in Des Moines, and the Up The River Blues Festival in New York.
Solomon Hicks was born in Harlem, New York City, in 1995. At age 13, he started playing guitar at The Cotton Club in New York City. At schools in Harlem, he studied jazz, classical, and Afro-Cuban guitar.
In 2018, he opened up for Ringo Starr and Jeff Beck at the Holland International Blues Festival.
He has performed at the KISS Kruise V, The Cotton Club in Japan, The Joe Bonamassa Blues Cruise, and many other places.
He's performed with Bruce Springsteen, Kermit Ruffins, George Thorogood, B.B. King, Greg Allman, and many others.
