"The RCS Business Messaging opportunity is very important for operators because it allows them to monetize the investment they've been forced to make in RCS messaging, in general.
So peer-to-peer RCS messaging, at an operator level, and allowing today's mobile subscribers to communicate in a way that's similar to WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger but do so on their native messaging app that comes on the device that they buy when they open it up out of the box, is now table stakes for mobile operators. So, they have to provide an experience that is equal to or better than what consumers get today from WhatsApp or Facebook Messenger.
RCS Business Messaging provides an avenue for mobile operators to monetize that investment, and ultimately justify the investment of time, money and other resources it takes to bring RCS to market.
So the key for mobile operators to be successful in adopting and deploying RCS business messaging really revolves around the partners they select and go to market with.
So everything from finding the right MaaP and application server parters to finding the right platform providers that can enable mobile operators to build and deploy RCS programs quickly and easily for their subscribers and give their aggregation partners the right tools to be effective with brand and enterprise clients in market, to the very selection of those very aggregation partners they decide to go to market with to help expand the brand/enterprise use of RCS business messaging. Really making sure they have partners who understand the ecosystem and have experience not only in helping develop the ecosystem but partners who can really help them unlock the real value brands and enterprises are willing to invest in RCS business messaging and partners that are experienced in understanding how to do that."
