Learn how to remove image's background and make it tranparent in Photoshop.

1. Open Photos.
Select File-Open or Ctrl+O.
Duplicate the layer by pressing Ctrl+J or Layer-New-Layer via copy.

2. Select the Quick Selection Tool.
Click the Quick Selection Tool icon on the toolbar or press W/Shift+W. On the Option Bar, click Add to Selection.

3. Make a Selection.
Click then drag on the main object to make a selection.

4. Tidy Up the Selection.
Remove unwanted selections by clicking and dragging while holding down the Alt key
Click the Lasso Tool icon or L/Shift+L. On the toolbar, click the Subtract from selection icon.
Remove the selection following the selection area that we want to remove. Make sure the end point of the selection meets the start point of the selection.

5. Create a Mask.
Select the Layer-Layer Mask-Reveal Selection command.

6. Refine Mask.
Click the Layer Mask box. Right click the layer mask box, then select Refine Mask.

7. Soften the Mask Using Radius.
Check Show Radius (J) then drag the radius slider to the right until approximately fine hairs can be selected. Click the OK button if you are satisfied with the results.
