What an exciting way to spend a day out, riding E-bikes along the very scenic Northern Rivers Rail Trail.
This rail trail starts at the state heritage listed Murwillumbah Railway Station and is an easy flat ride, where you will experience 26 bridges as well as 2 tunnels, including the unique Burringbar Range Tunnel (524m) and Hulls Rd Tunnel (50m).
It’s a total of 48 km, (24kms each way) and is made up of 18kms compact gravel and 6kms sealed paths.
The rail trail traverses lush scenery all the way from Murwillumbah, passing through the villages of Dunbible, Stokers Siding, Burringbar, Mooball and Crabbes Creek.
Views of Wollumbin / Mount Warning can be seen at various locations with many other vistas and views along the scenic and shaded route.
highly recommended for all ages.
There are a number of bike hire places around the starting point of the old railway station.
We hired from very reliable Small operating business near the starting point, Valley E-Bikes, who were very helpful in getting us on our way.
