My Prickly Friend - Echidna Tasmania
I spotted this cute Echidna foraging for ants on one of my recent trips to Cradle Mountain in Tasmania.
In order to keep them warm in the colder winters, the fur of the Tasmanian subspecies is thicker, longer and often conceals their spines, unlike the ones I would normally come across around Sydney.
