Here is an American toad (Bufo americanus). It is very easy to see the difference between frogs and toads, once you know what to look for. Toads are dry, warty and are often found a distance from water. They also often walk instead of hop or jump. Toads (like frogs) have wonderful songs during breeding periods and are often heard even during the daytime. Watch this video, and you will never mistake the two again!
