Sp23 In-Class Week 2: Temporal Data in Excel
Week 2 covered different time and date formulas to extract: Year, month, day, and hour. The video covers a few different ways to extract this information into their own columns. This is followed by how to insert Pivot Tables to summarize the crime incidents. Year counts and then a temporal heat map with hour and day of week are created to show to examples. Lastly, the incident_date column is used in the 3D Mapping function in Excel to visualize the formation of hot spots over time in Little Rock.
