As I said at the start of this video the modular framework (and specifically the reaktor blocks) is all about imagination and experimentation. There’s no final conclusion you can make when talking about modular synthesis. Every time you start patching things up you’re mind and ear will take you in a different direction. This may or may not be a good thing depending on the situation. If I was in the zone making a piece of music and I needed a simple synth bass sound I probably wouldn’t go with the “starting from scratch” modular approach. It’s just going to take too much time and will more than likely break whatever momentum I had going.
I think more than any other method modular is really the sound lovers dream. This primarily has to do with the fact that most of the time you're making sounds in a modular synth it’s purely for the joy of it. If anything this video does not signal an end rather it's just the beginning.
