This Unity tutorial covers how to Scale a 3D Object With Mouse Drag In Unity With A Fixed Point.
Using the positions of a game object as an anchor and the mouse position in world space, we can scale the main object by the distance between them. The scaling is done with mouse drag on the scaled object by one side. The anchor object does not move and it can be changed with a position if preferred.
