Mt. Hood Ski Bowl | Cascade
Multorpor Mountain was originally its own ski area, and served many winter activities besides ordinary downhill skiing, including ski racing. It was known as Jump Hill, and Cascade Ski Club was the one to host such competitions. The first Ropetow was built on the hill in 1938, running up the current Raceway slope. In 1964, Multorpor Mountain and Skibowl Peak sides of the resort were combined, after the construction of the Multorpor chair in 1961. This eventually came with a new chairlift running the alignment of the old ropetow, the current lift sitting on this hill.
Cascade is a 1975 Riblet double, replacing the original ropetow on Multorpor Mountain. Cascade is a frankenlift, using the top and bottom terminals and first tower from the original Upper Bowl chair (The unnumbered tower before Tower 1 of this lift is the reused tower). Just like the other chairs at Ski Bowl, the chairs have their own unique color, in this case green. Cascade is the shortest lift at Ski Bowl, and tends to be the quietest when not hosting any racing events or other activities.
