This video covers how to Join Table data and a Spatial Join. The Join Table Data includes downloading the Census County boundary file for the United States then joining the American Community Survey (2020-5yr estimates - Social Explorer) County data for Sex (male / female). Note: the unique ID across the County Boundary Shapefile and the Table is the 5-digit GEOID: the first 2 digits is a unique state and the last 3 digits are a unique county - combined the 5 digit GEOID is unique across the United States. This allows you to join data when the GEOID is known across different datasets.

The Spatial Join relies on point level data downloaded from the DHS-HIFLD for Fire Stations across the United States. A count of Fire Stations per County is obtained by Spatially Joining the two shapefiles (i.e. Counties contain Fire Stations).

*Note: I had to re-record this video based on audio to video issues. If you would like more on how to download data, I will make future videos on that part.
