As a project progresses, regular video reports are a great way to communicate with colleagues, partners and customers.
For new-build, re-work, or heritage conservation projects simple before-and-after photography is a great way of recording milestone events for marketing or project archive purposes. However, for more complex projects over extended periods of time, or where there are multiple channels of relationships that need to be kept abreast, project progress video reports are also a valuable tool to consider.
The moving image – particularly from a drone – can really help quickly communicate to the project team and wider audience the status or works. This can be just a simple video report capturing the project at the start and end, or if recording takes place on a regular basis, can be done say quarterly, monthly or even weekly.
Crucially if coverage can be started as the project gets underway then a full record can be kept. If other elements are introduced such as audio, narration, interviews, and music, then a basic video production for the complete project is also possible for marketing or stakeholder use.
Costs can be minimised, particularly if regular visits are required.
