X2-Class Solar Flare | Oct 31, 2024
Active Region 13878 just unleashed an X2-Class solar flare at 21:20 UTC Oct 31st. Latest imagery shows two weak Coronal Mass Ejections headed in Earths direction and a possible moderate geomagnetic storm could be possible at high latitudes sometime November 3rd. A series of CMEs has resulted after the appearance of a sun-diving comet and a major prominence eruption the last 36 hours.
