Cute Wild Bald Eagles Chicks: Yukon River
Have you ever seen cute wild bald eagle chicks?
Bald eagles mate for life, both parents help to build the very big nests, and they return to these nests each year to start a new family.
It is an annual tradition for us to hike along the ridge of the Yukon River in search of the huge eagle's nest with newly hatched chicks inside of it.
A few years ago, strong winds took down this couple's nest and they relocated to the other side of the river and built another one.
We heard rumours that the couple decided to return to the trail side of the river where it may be possible for us to see their new nest and their recently hatched eaglets...That's right, that is what baby eagle chicks are called.

Note: The footage was taken with a super super long telephoto lens (1600mm) a longest reach you can think of using DSLR, so we were not close to the nest nor used a drone. As expected, we kept a respectful distance to them not to disturb them 😊
Gear Used. Body: Olympus E-M1X Lens: Olympus Zuiko 100-400mm f5.6-6.3 2x teleconverter MC20 (800mm in micro four third format=1600mm in full frame format!)
