5:31 ICE FISHING UNDER AURORA
As the sun sets, we pitch our new canvas tent and then drill holes in the lake ice to set fishing lines for burbot (AKA poor man's lobster). The aurora borealis appears and we enjoy a magnificent show over our campsite.
Tammy and our Northern dog, Tenshi turn in for the night and the northern lights return and inspire Tomohiro to take out his fishing rod and put in a line to jig for burbot...
True Northern Canadian experience!
