Synth Stuff Ep. 1 - Korg MS-20 Mini
If I could only have one monophonic analog synth, it would be the MS-20 and the miniature reissue is just as good as the original in my own opinion. Like it's older brother, it can be simple or as complex as you want as this video hopefully shows. I also just love the look of it...it's like a science fair project. Sure, it's not as fat and warm as a Moog, but that's not where it's strength lies. It wants to be aggressive. This was run through a Lexicon for a bit of space, so look elsewhere if you want to hear the raw sound. It's uncommon for a synth to be dry in a mix, so what's the point? If you also play guitar like me, I highly recommend running this through the Earthquaker Devices "Ghost Echo" pedal for a spooky good time. Why didn't I do that in this video?
