Synth Stuff Ep. 79 - Modal Argon8X
The Modal Argon8X is a nice, knob-laden wavetable synthesizer. If you're looking for analog type sounds, the Modal Cobalt is the one for you. The Argon, however, is unabashedly digital. There were many sounds that reminded me of a Waldorf PPG or Blofeld, Synclavier, Wavestation, ESQ-1, etc. It makes a great alternative to the ASM Hydrasynth as well. I admit I sort of ignored Modal for a long time, but I've been very happy with the Argon and I'm glad to have it in my hoard.
