AEE462 Lecture 2, Part B - The 2 body problem, gravitational constants and Energy Cons. Examples
In this lecture, we reduce the N body problem first to the 2 body problem and then to the restricted 2 body problem. In the context of the 2 body problem, we discuss planetary graviational constants and the graviational constant of the universe. Finally, we use conservation of energy to solve some simple initial example problems involving position, velocity, and define escape velocity.
