We interpret the Polar Equation, defining semilatus rectum, periapse, apoapse, and semimaor axis. We introduce the vis-viva equation and provide formulae for conversion from the physical invariants of angular momentum and energy to the geometric invariants of semimajor axis and eccentricity.
