In this lecture, we define the final invariant of motion - the eccentricity vector. We then define true anomaly and use this to derive the polar equation - thus confirming Kepler's 1st Law.

Correction: on the printed part of slide 3, r x h = 0 should be r dot h =0 and v x h =0 should be v dot h = 0.
