We define a system for orientation in space, focusing on the Earth Centered Inertial (ECI) coordinate system - a system defined by the equatorial plane, ecliptic plane, and First Point of Ares. We also briefly review a number of other coordinate systems, including Perifocal, ECEF, BCRS, HEEQ et al.
