Chicken Shanty Grand Opening Eagle Point Oregon
There’s a new eatery in Eagle Point that people are flocking to in droves and it’s called Chicken Shanty!
They opened the floodgates today and business is booming!
Chicken Shanty took over the former Mug-a-Bean Coffee kiosk behind Purple Parrot in the Eagle Point Plaza off of Highway 62.
I tried their chicken strips basket which includes three hand breaded chicken breast strips, a cup of sweet and creamy coleslaw, and a mound of French fries. I washed it down with an ice cold cup of prickly pear lemonade that was altogether tart, crisp and sweet.
The chicken strips were delicious. The chicken was tender and juicy and the batter was light, crispy and sweet. There are many different dipping sauces available too such as ranch, honey mustard, barbecue, chipotle, and peanut sauce. I chose the peanut sauce and I enjoyed it. It was sweet, spicy and zesty.
Chicken Shanty even offers strawberry shortcake for dessert! It’s very rich and I dare say it is the best strawberry shortcake I’ve ever had.
America is in the throes of a chicken craze. The bird is the word, which makes Chicken Shanty a perfect fit for Eagle Point! They have a penchant for poultry, a flair for fowl, and chic for chicken.
