3D brain reconstruction & surface rendering (Partial reconstruction)
3D reconstruction of a stack of Nissl-stained rat brain sections. This is part of an on-going training project conducted by a UCSD intern, Nathan Wang, who delineated the olfactory bulb (yellow), striatum (red), hippocampus (purple), cerebral cortex (pink) and cerebellum (blue). This project is designed to help students have hands-on experience to delineate the interior architectures of the brain, and then visualize them in a 3-dimensional space.
