High-volume 3D dendritic reconstruction and morphological analysis of pyramidal cells of AD (Alzheimer's disease) mice. Golgi-impregnated neurons were selected for dendritic reconstruction, Sholl and spine analysis (not shown in this video) by the investigators who were blinded to the genotypes. This "unbiased" 3D quantitative analysis provides the most reliable means to visualize morphological and/or neuro-pathological differences between normal and diseased brains.
