In this video, I'll take you inside our second production hall and show you how we build our off-road camper cabins for pickups and 4x4 vehicles.
We'll start with an overview of our current production: four cabins under construction simultaneously, a team of five people, and various levels of customization – from the bare cabin to the fully equipped standard cabin. The cabins are designed for a wide range of models, such as the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, and, new in this video, the Mercedes G-Class.
The cabin for the Mercedes G-Class has a slightly different design: a front door, a front roof opening, and different dimensions. I'll also show you optional features like external hatches and storage boxes.
Next, we move on to the production version: our Beartrails Standard Cabin 3.0. This is primarily for the Ford Ranger and Toyota Hilux – including adjustments to the wheel arches to ensure compatibility across different vehicles.
I'll also show you our new pop-up roof detail: the aluminum profile is now milled and flush-mounted – for clean water drainage and less standing water.
You'll also learn more about our production process: gluing, sealing, painting, felting, furniture installation, and final assembly including the subframe, electrical work, and attachment of the exterior components.
