Speed and Velocity are relative but different terms which tells us about the motion of a body.
Speed is the total distance covered by a body in a Unit time,
Velocity is the total displacement covered by a Body in a Unit time.

To understand the concept of Speed and Velocity, Distance and Displacement are must to learn;
Distance is the measurement of how far an object lies from another object while Displacement is the shortest possible distance between between two points,
By the concept of Distance and Displacement we can say that the Displacement is a vector Quantity because it lies on same one line and one same direction while Distance is a Scalar Quantity because distance might be zigzag, curved or random by which the Direction is not specified.
For Example;
A car moves 20km/hr now this tells us the magnitude but not the Direction so this is Speed , and if we say that a Car moves 20km/hr East the Direction is also specified, so this is Velocity.

Speed and Velocity both are represented in meters per second(etc)
