▬▬▬▬ Video Transcript ▬▬▬▬

Hey, this is Matt, and here’s a quick video on how to use Google Chrome's incognito mode. So, why might you want to use incognito mode? Well, it's great for a more private browsing experience, whether you want to keep your browsing history clear or prevent cookies from tracking you.

So, let’s dive right in. On macOS, up here in the top left, you’ll see “Chrome.” Click on that, then go over to “File.” Three options down, you'll see “New Incognito Window.” Click that, and it opens up an incognito tab in Chrome.

Now, Chrome gives you a quick rundown. In incognito mode, Chrome won’t save your browsing history, cookies, site data, or any information you enter in forms. However, your activity can still be visible to websites you visit, your employer or school, and your internet service provider—so you can't hide everything.

By default, you’ll see “Block third-party cookies” selected, which is another layer of privacy. So that’s incognito mode: it’s quick, it’s easy, and it gives you a bit more privacy.

One more time to recap—just go to “File” in the top menu, select “New Incognito Window,” and you’re set! You can now browse the web with a little extra peace of mind in semi-safe incognito mode.
