3D Sports Motion Trail | After Effects Animation Workflow

I've had to add a mosaic effect to some brief sections in this workflow to avoid youtube flagging this for copyright. Just bits where I'm rotoscopying or scrubbing through clips. Nothing interesting.

In this video I explore using a motion trail rig I’ve used before (you can find it if you look on this or my main channel) specifically for sports footage.
I started by playing around with a clip of Simone Biles, but as you’ll see I didn’t end up with a result I was happy with.
I moved on to a clip of skateboarder Tom Schaar, and came up with the animation you see here. There was a lot of fiddly correction because the shot was moving, so you’ll see I animated the rotoscoped footage, and then added a camera move on the final comp.
And then added some light leaks and background colour wipes to finesse it overall.
