Socktober 24 — Virtual Meet-Up 10/2/24
We had a fantastic kick-off for our 3rd Annual Socktober! We had knitters from Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, and of course Maine, as well as a couple of Remote Goats from Texas and Washington state! And we even welcomed a few new folks to our Goat KALs — Yay!
We had super sock veterans (someone with 40 pairs in her sock drawer!!!!), sock newbies, folks who always have socks on their needles, and folks who have previously been stymied by socks. Someone is knitting socks to root on their favorite sports team! Someone is working on a seasonally-appropriate Candy Corn Sock! We're knitting them top down and toe up, in fingering, DK, and worsted yarn, solids and striped!
What's so exciting about socks is there's always something new to learn — whether that's a new pattern or technique or way to construct them. The best part of Socktobers at the Goat is that we get to build community and our skills!
