In the last video we used a sample that didn’t really need any additional editing. For the sake of example we’ll use a shorter sample and then take advantage of the wave editor in Kontakt to create a seamless loop. This loop will allow us to sustain a note indefinitely. The crossfade feature is very handy when you need to eliminate pops or clicks at the loop start and end points. As you’ll see in the video Kontakt has a snap to zero crossings option that in theory should minimize the amount of manual labor we need to do… but like any approximating algorithm it won’t work every time.

From there we’ll emulate a subtractive signal flow and use a filter along with some modulators and FX to create more of an analog style sound.
