How to make a Twig Pom Pom Tree Decorations in Art Club with Miss Burford
These Pom Pom trees are super cute, they are great for children and adults to make too! You could make these to sell at christmas fayres to raise money for school or simply in art club like i did. The children LOVED making these and they can be part of the process all of the way through, from collectings twigs and branches to helping with the glue gun (I highly recommend getting a cool glue gun so the temperature is a lot cooler and they don't burn themselves!)
No prep christmas art lesson for 7-11 year olds, although adults love making these too and they look very festive on the christmas tree. It will be helpful to have another member of staff helping with glue gunning to keep the lesson time down. For 12 children and just myself on the glue gun, we managed to do the lesson in 1 hour, so adjust your timing according to any extra staff and more children. For example, if you have 24 children, it will take you 2 hours to do this lesson. However, if you have another member of staff to help then you could get 24 children's projects done still within the hour.
These tree ornaments are perfect as they last year after year.
