How to make a Gonk Picture in Art Club with Miss Burford
There are only 2 days left until the christmas holidays (or at least at my school anyway) and we are in desperate need of some christmas crafts and actitives! If you too are in need of a last minute christmas activity then look no further! There is very little prep involved in this, it only takes 5-10 mins to trim some white paper and black card to make each piece of paper longer. (we trim the white paper so that the children don't draw a gonk bigger than their card background). This can be done with childen aged 6-11 years old and worked perfectly well in Art Club. The children loved it! It is also a great christmas sub art lesson. It takes 45 mins- 1 hour to complete.
There are so many ways that you could adapt this lesson, you could turn these into bookmarks if you make them smaller or add each child's picture to some ribbon to make a garland, you could make them smaller again and turn them into gift tags, just to name a few ideas.
