Have you collected a bunch of Pine cones on a treasure hunt with the kids recently but you aren't sure what to use them for? The owl chick's are so simple to make, the children love them and they don't take too long to make. It is the perfect autumn art activity to use those pine cones!
This takes 30 - 45 mins to do so it is perfect for those of you who only have 30 minute art sessions at school or who do art on a cart. I have done this art project with 6 - 11 year olds in art club and they all loved it.To top it all off, there is no prep required.
You can turn them into keyrings, magnets, tree decorations or just keep them as ornaments, it is entirely up to you.
This is a great project to do along side reading some books about woodland creatures (The Gruffalo instantly comes to mind) or if you are looking at autumn or animals.
