Sandhill Cranes in Chelmsford Ontario
While visiting my childhood home town of Chelmsford, just north of Sudbury (in the geographic centre of the Sudbury crater), my sister, niece, and I came across a farm field with a flock of roughly 200 sandhill cranes. All other surrounding fields were empty of birds. They were all concentrated in this single field.
Sorry for the shakey cam. The field was ploughed, and I was stepping amongst furrows more than a foot deep.
