Robin Attacks a Snake
June 17, 2012 (Father's Day), roughly 2:45 pm EDT: Walking down a path at Lemoine Point Conservation Area in Kingston Ontario I came across this battle between a robin and a tiny snake. Sadly, despite a valiant fight, the snake lost and presumably became lunch for the robin. I was less than 40 feet (12m) from the pair as it happened. Ç'est la vie, but I still feel sorry for the little snake.
