This is just a quick and dirty video to show a friend a little experiment I did over the summer. I would like to show that it is possible to make a very low cost hydroponic system using empty pop bottles.
While I was unable to implement the idea as an actual hydroponic set up as I wanted to this year, I was able to grow some mint cuttings outside using soil. The plants look pretty sad now (It is December and the plants died back in the fall), but they grew quite well during the summer, and I managed to give away quite a lot of mint to family members this year.
With this successful proof of concept now complete, I hope to get an actual hydroponic system up an running some this in the new year.
