Convergence Futures - 5 : Avenues of Convergence
We've already defined what convergence is and how it can affect our daily lives. From a networking point of view, we've primarily seen convergence through the eyes of private networks, but we must also understand that convergence is also taking place in every facet of the Internet world as well.
In other words, convergence is not only taking place in the corporate network, but also within the carrier/telecommunications network, and even within individual residences that use networking technology like the Internet. And as all these different types of networks converge, we will see the future of convergence on a wider, more comprehensive scale than we do now.
