Life Lessons from a Wrong Stop in Berlin
Hi guys,
I didn't quite intend to make this. I found myself on the way to my office to record my video on "The Philosophy of Monk Mode" video.
I needed to bring my RE-20 microphone for the audio.
Anyway, while writing my diary, I missed my stop, met a friend - who'd also missed her stop, and then got back on the train, where I ended up having a nice conversation about creativity with a tattooed stranger with gleaming eyes.
My microphone seemed to be enjoying being recontextualised, and it made me ponder that sometimes we are all being something other than we are for a short time. And more so, that we can be something other than we are, if that is what is meant for us or we aspire to be.
My office is based in the Mahalla Arts Community in Berlin and the journey there is always meditative.
Sometimes the wrong stop is the right stop, or the right stop is the wrong stop.
Either way, it lifted my mood, on one of those days where you feel a bit flat.

p.s this was shot on the Sony ZV-E1 with the 11mm 1.8 lens. I used the jobi for the higher shots on the S-Bahn and the Aputure Travel Lights along the way.
