I ran into a problem sharing a file recently when I needed an extended expiration date. My company policy on sharing files was set to expire automatically in only 10 days.

Log into your Microsoft 365 account online, and access the Admin tools (if you have permission to do so - you may need to reach out to your IT folks). From Admin, choose SharePoint, Policies and Sharing.

Read through the settings and adjust them as needed. Unchecking the box to remove the expiration date as I did in this example.

Please be thoughtful about adjusting these settings. They provide much-needed security for your organization.
