Behind the Scenes: Gulnur Mukazhanova's Eluding Capture Installation
Gulnur Mukazhanova combs her textiles from the series Portrait-Reflections (on the history of my homeland, Qandy Qantar 2022) in preparation for the opening of Eluding Capture: Three Artists from Central Asia on February 3. The show features the work of Mukazhanova, Alexander Ugay, and Saodat Ismailova, three artists who explore the conditions of belonging in Central Asia through textile, photography, film and video.
