Kaiser Max Klettersteig October 2016 I Via Ferrata Martinswand Innsbruck
The "Kaiser Max" Klettersteig is one of hardest Ferratas in the Eastern Alps and leads up the Martinswand close to Zirl/Innsbruck on the souther side of the Karwendel mountain range.
It is divided into two sections: Section 1 is difficulty D and section 2 is am exhausting 100m of E. It is possible to exit the Ferrata in the middle before the E part into a hidden grotto.
The rocks are really slippery and steep/vertical in some parts and one should bring a lot of arm and upper body strength.
We climbed it on the 30th of October 2016 during perfect mountain conditions and with almost no other people en route and had a perfect day.
This trip is one for the strong, avid climber - but for those it is highly recommended!
