Skitouren-Opening 2016 at Dachstein Glacier & Beginner Skiing in Flachau
The Skitouren-Opening 2016 at Dachstein Glacier took place on 26/27th November and provided the surroundings for our second skiing session.
The Dachstein slopes are part of Ski Amade and a mainly flat, small glacial area with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. They have a cool hanging bridge, an ice cave and cross country skiing slopes as well as a funpark, many skitouring options and so on.
We lent us skitouring skis and boots and were all on our own. As the skis are slightly longer and the boots were softer, the skiing was a bit different and more difficult, but we fought our way through - and even over BIG hills! ;-)
The next day we went for another skiing day to Flachau, where we (with our alpine skis) found it a lot easier and had the feeling we really made some progress - again hungry for more!
