Custom Word Reports
Custom word reports are a dynamic reporting option that can allow for a great deal of stylization and formatting
Overall word reports allow more flexibility in comparison to our pdf reports
Which makes its a great option if you are going for a highly specific visual look
Start by opening the FastField form builder and clicking on the reporting button.
Next navigate to the custom tab
From here we can choose to generate a word document based on our current form which is a great time saving feature especially on larger forms
Once downloaded,
Open the word template in Microsoft word
You will notice that the document has already been populated by field keys from your form
You can style your word document as you wish
Another great feature of the custom word reports are that they are dynamic
Meaning, it can expand or contract based on the data entered on a form by form basis.
For example, lets say I had a subform:
Instead of having to write a field key for every instance for that subform on a given submission.
You can just write in the first row of the table and it will auto populate and expand automatically.
When you finish customizing your report
Just upload it to the portal in the same place and you are good to go.
