The formatted numeric field can collect information like phone numbers or product codes in a specified format. The defined structure allows you to collect accurate information in a consistent format from all users.
When you are using the formatted numeric field, you can choose from a pre-defined format, or create your own customized format. A common way to use the formatted numeric field is to capture a phone number, this way all users are entering the phone number is the same format.
When using the Formatted Numeric field you will only be able to capture numbers, the user will not be able to input letters or special characters when entering a value.
